We’ll also be selling Lance’s KETTLEDRUMMER BOOKS featuring work by cartoonists from Spain, including three new books debuting at the show.

We’ll also have a number of other books for sale as well as a couple of mini comics.

Next month, we’ll have a table at TCAF 2013 in Toronto, Canada on May 11 & 12.

Later in the year, we’ll be at SPX 2013 in Bethesda, Maryland on September 14 & 15.

Both are spectacular shows and we’re thrilled to be there! We’ll have our PHINKWELL comics as well as Lance’s KETTLEDRUMMER books for sale at each show.

We expect to be at several more comics fests later this year. We’ll announce them soon!

In Steve’s BACK AND FORTH, we jump a scant nine days earlier from the previously seen Ronus/Dale tete-a-tete & outdoor beer fest. Here we get to peep with our own peepers what Dale gallantly didn’t spill to the Ronus about his date with Jennifer. How foggy are those car windows gonna get? All I’m gonna say is . . . Dale is no Shel Silverstein.

Tommy’s SKY HIGH, is back. We start off with a pair of poems by Loyal the Bear. He reflects on what he likes to do best; ie. eating people.

Meanwhile, in HENRY by the ridiculously late, but productive, Carl Anderson, the titular ass-faced boy continues to prove why he’s reigning Chill King Douche, impersonates a flat-foot, he really is a douche, you know, flaccidly retreats during a battle of the sexes and plays: “Peek-A-Boo you Bastard,” with a slingshot, cuckoo clock and a whole mess of measured time.

“The Nixon Museum,” slogs along in my own MY OWN PETARD. I continue to endure the Nixon infused factoid ramblings of a sanity challenged fellow traveler. I still feel haunted by the ghost of Watergate as I disembark from the bus. Holy sweet relief from the whole “Nixon thang et moi,” comes in the form of an Intermission on a tropical isle during Miss Emmy’s storytime. If you have to go to the bathroom; now’s a good time. The kids then take the opportunity to exchange critiques about the story so far during Miss Emmy’s absence. I happen to favor Jervaise’s opinion and how he expresses it.

In Steve’s BACK AND FORTH this month, fateful introductions are made just prior to another jump. This time, ahead two months. Bryan Ronus fans out there (and I count myself a member) will be pleased to know that the early 20′s incarnation of the “great one” appears chug-a-luggin a cold one. Then, punctuated by a frothy belch, Ronus finally gets around to what’s on his mind. Regrettably, Dale gallantly refuses to discuss the comings and goings of his Johnson.

Meanwhile, HENRY by the extremely late Carl Anderson, the titular ass-faced boy continues to pester animals (this time pissing off a Parrot), juggles hen fruit, becomes a doctor of mixology (operating without a license), and doesn’t know the size of his own stones.

My adventures in “The Nixon Museum,” continue in MY OWN PETARD. After finally escaping the confines of the building, I still feel hounded by the past. This time in the incarnation of Dortmund’s beloved, Herbie. After spotting a trio of hipsters, I get and idea how to break the evil ju-ju. An unfortunate misunderstanding ensues. Later I finally get a ride home.

The first MISTER MORALS strip was previously published in MAD #515 (June 2012). Lance’s poem “Casey at the Trial,” a Casy Anthony/”Casey at the Bat” mash-up, appeared in MAD #513 (February 2012).

In Steve’s BACK AND FORTH, an emotional Jen finds herself on the wrong side of a “things are changing” speech that she herself is giving, before receiving an unpredicted horizontal snowbath upon her goodbye. Then it’s “shock and awe” vs. “pure dunderheadedness” as a dry towel is offered in lieu of the white flag.

Meanwhile, HENRY by the very late Carl Anderson, presents outrage upon outrage as our titular hero tries “sweet talk” to seduce a watermelon away from baby girl, then, is unsurprisingly unmoved by a portly woman’s hollow tears. Later he blithely aids in the abject corruption of an heir apparent to the plutocracy. Finally, he applies a much needed touch of seasoning just prior to taking a bite out of an irate ostrich’s ass. Ouch!

My adventures in “The Nixon Museum,” continue in MY OWN PETARD with my reminiscence of the ill-fated Presidential Election of 1968. I was persecuted by my peers and punished by authority for my support of a controversial candidate. Then I plan and execute a clever escape to flee the museum undetected by the reviled Dortmund. I then reflect over the significant influence of the past that still seems to loom o’er me. Oh, the humanity!

Tommy’s SKY HIGH, is on hiatus and will return March 5th. Yo Yo Yo! This just in! The bear and the pika now have names! Satisfy your curiosity already!

Climb off that ledge! Come in the window! Then climb right back out after some comics!

Steve’s BACK AND FORTH continues the delirious euphoria of two uninhibitedly imbibing young women. The bacchanalia takes a horrendous downward turn when the name, “Harrison,” is invoked. As the old song goes: “Harrison was made of soap (sometimes) and he makes the young girls cry.”

In Tommy’s SKY HIGH, the eagerly awaited conclusion to the Roswell saga builds to an action packed climax as the bear and the pika engage an angry animated suit of armor. Fortunately, a lithe nude woman comes to their rescue. We should all be so lucky!

In Carl Anderson’s HENRY this month, Henry wants to smell sweet and pretty, bamboozles the feebleminded into doing his bidding, bridges misfortune and self interested exploitation, and finally, goes douche fishing and lands a big one. Beginning January 4, HENRY will be posted once per week, on Fridays.

“Schadenfreude for Kurt Dortmund,” continues in MY OWN PETARD (following a month long hiatus) Still in the Richard M. Nixon museum, I reflect on the emphatic loves of the young Dortmund with scorn, derision and sauerkraut.

We premiered our first four published comics, in December, at the LOCUST MOON COMICS FEST on Sunday December 16th here in Philadelphia. There’s no lookin’ back now!
